NaNoWriMo 500 Words Challenge

Today marks the beginning of NaNoWriMo. I am nowhere near able to write 50,000 words in a month, so I decided to merge 2 challenges and am endeavoring to write 500 words a day for both the NaNoWriMo and the 500 Words Challenge together.  Today I wrote 540 words.
